140 Years On, Mercedes-Benz Brings Its Story to Singapore
Singapore hosts the latest stop of Mercedes-Benz’s global celebration, featuring the new S-Class ahead of its local debut.

Mercedes-Benz has brought its global ‘140 Years. 140 Places.’ anniversary tour to Singapore, with the new S-Class leading the convoy’s latest stop. The event at Gardens by the Bay highlights the marque’s 140-year history while giving local audiences an early look at the luxury sedan ahead of its Singapore launch later this year.

The journey began on 29 January, marking 140 years since Carl Benz patented the world’s first automobile. Three new S-Class saloons were dispatched on a route covering more than 50,000km across six continents, with 140 destinations selected to reflect key moments in Mercedes-Benz’s heritage, innovation and international presence.
Having travelled over 35,000km through 20 countries, the convoy has now reached Singapore, which serves as the final stop of its Asian chapter. The showcase includes the new S-Class alongside a curated collection of classic and modern Mercedes-Benz models.

Mercedes-Benz also used the occasion to announce that Singapore will be among a select group of cities worldwide to host a Mercedes-Benz Studio. Scheduled to open at Gardens by the Bay later this year, the venue will act as a hub for launches, cultural programmes and community events, offering a new way for customers and visitors to engage with the brand.
The global anniversary drive will continue through to October as Mercedes-Benz commemorates 140 years of automotive innovation and its continuing evolution as a luxury mobility brand.
