A Little Bit Of Rock A Little Bit Of Roll - Here is The New Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo

The ‘Cross’ in the model nomenclature is a departure from the ‘Sport’ in the spiritually related Panamera Sport Turismo; the former now features ‘Gravel Mode’, designed to allow you to take the Taycan Cross off the road and onto tougher gravel surfaces. There is also an optional Off-Road Design package that increases the ground clearance by up to 30mm. Included in the Off-Road Design package, the Cross Turismo receives flaps at the corners of the front and rear bumpers and at the ends of the sills; apart from amping up the looks, they are also designed to protect the car from stone impacts.

So what is in it for the customer keen on this shooting brake body style? Well, rear passengers will benefit from an additional 36mm of head space, while boot space at 446 litres, is 40 more than its sedan counterpart; and can be extended to 1,200 litres by folding the rear seats. Additionally, those who are bike fans, Porsche has also developed a rear carrier that can hold up to three bicycles. Porsche has also created two high quality e-bikes, the eBike Sport and the eBike Cross, specially designed to compliment the Taycan Cross Turismo (we are unsure if Singapore will receive them, given all the regulations in-place).

We can expect the Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo to arrive on our shores in the second half of 2021.
