Aston Martin has introduced the new DBX GT, a more comfort-oriented interpretation of its high-performance SUV. Positioned alongside the DBX S, the GT places greater emphasis on refinement and everyday usability without sacrificing the performance that has become synonymous with the DBX nameplate.

Under the bonnet is the same 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 found in the DBX S, producing 727 PS (717 bhp) and 900 Nm of torque. Benefiting from turbocharger technology shared with the Valhalla supercar, the engine propels the DBX GT from 0-100 km/h in just 3.1 seconds, with a top speed of 310 km/h.

Despite those figures, Aston Martin has taken a different approach to the GT's chassis tuning. Revised adaptive dampers, new internal damper valves and recalibrated suspension settings aim to better absorb road imperfections while maintaining body control through corners. Throttle response and the nine-speed wet-clutch automatic transmission have also been retuned for smoother operation, particularly during low-speed driving.

The DBX GT retains the DBX S's quicker steering ratio and carbon-ceramic brakes, measuring 420 mm at the front and 390 mm at the rear. Standard 22-inch forged wheels with Pirelli Scorpion Zero All-Season tyres have been selected with ride comfort and road noise reduction in mind, while 23-inch wheels remain optional.

Visually, the GT adopts a more restrained appearance, distinguished by a new double-vaned front grille, two-piece metal side strakes, body-coloured lower trim and horizontally arranged quad exhaust outlets.

Inside, redesigned front and rear seats feature revised cushioning, additional lateral support and a 10mm memory foam layer. A new individually sculpted rear seating arrangement retains five-seat practicality, while semi-aniline leather, revised upholstery designs and a panoramic glass roof are included.

Additional sound insulation throughout the body, along with acoustic laminated rear side glass, has resulted in a claimed 13 per cent improvement in the Articulation Index, a measure of speech intelligibility inside a moving vehicle.

Aston Martin has also given the GT a dedicated exhaust calibration, keeping things relatively subdued in GT mode while allowing the V8 to make itself heard in Sport and Sport+.

“The challenge with DBX GT was achieving meaningful improvements in comfort and refinement in everyday use cases, but keeping the same reserves of performance and handling we have achieved with the DBX S,” said Ian Hoban, Aston Martin's Chief Technology Officer.

In essence, the DBX GT offers an alternative for buyers who want the performance of the DBX S but prefer a quieter cabin and more compliant ride for daily use.

First customer deliveries are scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter of 2026.
