Chevrolet reaffirms commitment to Singapore
Chevrolet re-affirms commitment to Singapore amidst looming bankruptcy for parent company General Motors.

General Motors Overseas Distribution Corporation (GM ODC) today reaffirmed its commitment to Singapore with the re-appointment of Alpine Motors as the dealer for Chevrolet cars, beginning July 1, 2009.
Alpine Motors, part of the Alpine Group with more than 30 years of experience in the Singapore automotive trade, will work closely with GM ODC on a broad range of activities, from joint sales and marketing initiatives, to enhanced customer service through Chevrolet Priority Service.
Chevrolet Priority is an exclusive service from Alpine Motors for the benefit of owners of Chevrolet's premium range - the Chevrolet Epica and Captiva. Alpine Motors will also provide training in sales, service, spare parts and business systems to assure customers of the best-in-class pre- and post-sales ownership experience.
Mr. Kittichai Jarurojpoka, Managing Director of GM ODC, said, "This partnership is in line with our strategy to extend Chevrolet's presence in Singapore, which remains an important market for the brand. We continue to see growth opportunities for Chevrolet here and will be working closely with Alpine Motors to offer exciting models such as the Chevy Cruze, our new global compact car, and the new generation mini-car, Chevy Spark, in the near future."
"We are pleased to be reappointed as the dealer for Chevrolet in Singapore, and will continue to offer Chevrolet buyers and owners and holistic and satisfying Chevy-ownership experience," said Mr. Albert Pang, Managing Director of Alpine Motors.
Mr. Pang continued, "We believe that our 30 years of experience in the Singapore automotive industry puts us in a strong position to offer more innovative services to anticipate the needs of our customers..."
