Even before the premiere of Mitsubishi's tenth-generation Lancer Evolution at the Tokyo Motor Show in October, they released an interior shot of the US-version Lancer MR and a few exterior pictures of the Lancer GSR, bound for Japan.

Although Mitsubishi has been keeping mum on the official details of the Lancer Evo models, we do know that both the GSR and MR are powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine that produces 295 bhp and will propel the car through Mitsubishi's new four-wheel drive system, mated to an all-new Twin Clutch SST dual-clutch sequential gearbox.

Despite being slower from 0 to 100 km/h compared to its predecessor, the Evo X should offer better grip and handling than the Evo IX.
