Fill Up Our Trunks For A Good Cause At The Jeep Boot Food Drive 2017
Singapore, 31 July 2017 – Jeep Boot Food Drive 2017 returns this August, bigger and better! In celebration of Singapore’s 52nd birthday, Chrysler Jeep Singapore launches a food donation drive in aid of The Food Bank Singapore, leading up the National Day celebration in August 2017. Come 5-6 August, Jeep Showroom will transform into a two-day festive jubilee and collection point for donors to drop off their food donations.
Recognising the struggle of low-income families, The Food Bank Singapore, together with the help of member beneficiaries; work hand-in-hand to fight hunger in the local community. The Food Bank Singapore teams up with Jeep Singapore for the second year running, to put food on the table for struggling families.
Driving for a good cause – members of the public are encouraged to donate food items to Jeep Showroom from now until Sunday, 6 August 2017. Volunteers comprising of Jeep owners and friends will be leading a Jeep convoy on Sunday, 6 August 2017, at 4.00pm, to deliver food items collected to The Food Bank Singapore.
Lending their support to the Jeep Boot Food Drive 2017 are social enterprises – Mustard Tree, and Purnama Outreach, showcasing and retailing their hand-made products, which empower the marginalised and special needs artisans.
Also joining in the cause on 5-6 August 2017 is Kids Performing™ The Academy of the Art, a school for aspiring young artists, where they will be breaking out in song and dance, in benefit of The Food Bank Singapore. And the party doesn’t end there! Enjoy performances from Singapore’s very own buskers – The Pudgy Busker, Cadence, and Ken Loh, as they put together live performances, in efforts to raise funds for the Jeep Boot Food Drive 2017. All donations received will be contributed to The Food Bank Singapore.
Members of the public and corporate companies who wish to contribute to this notable cause can drop off their food donations to All food items donated to the Jeep Showroom are required non-perishable food items that are unopened, unused, with at least four weeks of shelf life.
The Food Bank Singapore is a place where companies or people can come to deposit or donate their unused or unwanted food which will then be collected and allocated to the needy through a network of member beneficiaries such as family service centres, various types of homes, soup kitchens, and other VWOs.
