Ford S-Max is Europrean Car of the Year 2007

In one of the most hotly contested European "Car of the Year" contests in recent years, Ford's stylish S-Max MPV has managed bag the award for 2007. The S-Max was chosen by a panel of 58 journalists from 22 European countries, and its competition included the Citroen C4 Picasso, the Fiat Grande Punto, Honda Civic, Peugeot 207, Opel Corsa, Volvo C30 and Skoda Roomster. Ford has won the coveted COTY award 5 times, the last in 1999 for the original Ford Focus. The S-Max will probably be here in early 2007, but its final configuration has yet to be announced. The S-Max is pictured with Roelant de Waard, Chairman and Marketing Director, Ford of Britain. Do these awards really make a difference when you choose a car?
