FR: Mr. François Michelin dies aged 88
Mr. François Michelin passed away earlier today at the age of 88. The French visionary created and headed tyre company Michelin. He stayed in power at his firm for 47 years, before handing the company over to his son. Under his guidance, the company experienced tremendous growth, driven by his passion for innovation as well as his uncompromising attention to quality. The date of his funeral will be announced soon.
