The new BMW M5's M HYBRID drive system pairs a 4.4-litre V8 engine with an electric motor. The V8 engine, equipped with M TwinPower Turbo technology and a cross-bank exhaust manifold, generates 585hp and 750Nm of torque. The electric motor, integrated into the eight-speed M Steptronic transmission, produces 197hp and with a pre-gearing stage, boosts its effective torque to 450Nm.
