HyperDrive Is Singapore's First Official Sodi World Series E-Sprint Track

Singapore's karting scene has received a significant boost with HyperDrive becoming the country's first and only official Sodi World Series (SWS) E-Sprint track, giving local drivers a direct pathway to international competition.

The Sodi World Series is a global karting championship that allows racers to accumulate points through sanctioned events, climb international rankings and qualify for the prestigious SWS World Finals. Through HyperDrive's new E-Sprint Cup, participants will now be able to compete in the electric karting division of the championship without leaving Singapore.

The competition will run across eight rounds between July and November 2026, with races held on selected Sundays at HyperDrive. Drivers earn ranking points based on their results, with the overall top performer earning the opportunity to represent Singapore at the SWS International E-Finals in Finland in 2027.

As part of its support, HyperDrive will sponsor the winner's €400 participation fee, although competitors will be responsible for their own travel, accommodation and related expenses.

Participation is open to drivers aged 18 and above who hold a valid car or motorcycle licence and have achieved a qualifying lap time of 35.5 seconds or faster at HyperDrive's Novice level.

Entry costs S$168 per person, covering two race rounds that include qualifying sessions and final races. To be eligible for selection to the international finals, drivers must compete in at least three HyperDrive SWS E-Sprint races during the season.
