This year, Lexus has upped its game and brought out yet another bespoke F model – the GS F.

Highly anticipated and entering the high performance sedan segment for the first time, the all-new GS F is set to go up against the likes of powerhouses from German manufacturers including BMW, Audi and Mercedes.

Tested and proven at the gamed Fuji Speedway in Japan (hence the F), the new GS F is designed to satisfy even the most discerning driving enthusiast while remaining accessible to just about everyone else. The key aspects that make up its exhilarating drive are sound, response and power, which Lexus has set as cornerstones of their F line up.

Powered by the same naturally aspirated V8 first debuted in the RC F, the 5.0l engine produces 467 bhp and 530 Nm of torque, enough to see the car to 100 km/h from a standing start in just 4.6 seconds. The engine is mated to an 8-speed Sport Direct Transmission operable manually by steering wheel mounted paddles.

Also available on the GS F are a Torque Vectoring Differential as well as six piston front / four piston rear Brembo brakes.

Lexus also presented the more mass market friendly GS Turbo.

Apart from the redesigned exterior that breathes new life into the ageing GS, a new 2.0l turbocharged engine also makes its way among the engine line up of the GS range. Replacing the 2.5l V6 in GS 250 guise previously, the new base model now offers better efficiency and improved performance.

This same engine also makes its way into the IS Turbo which was also introduced during the motor show.
