Chevron’s leading international fuels and lubricants brand, Caltex™ is proud to announce the grand prize winner of its recent “Scratch & Win!” promotion. Mr Poh Chwee Yan, 54, has won 1 million Thanks! points, equivalent to about $25,000 or approximately five years’ worth of fuel.
“I feel extremely lucky to have won this. At first, I wasn’t sure if I won the grand prize as I don’t read English very well. I only found out I’m the lucky winner when I showed the scratch card to the cashier on my next visit to Caltex and she congratulated me,” said the Chinese-educated delivery man who nearly threw away his scratch card.
The “Scratch & Win!” promotion ran from 1 August 2011 to 20 September 2011 as part of Caltex’s 75thAnniversary celebrations and was designed to thank customers for their support of the Caltex brand over the past 75 years. A total of $750,000 worth of prizes was up for grabs.
Caltex’s 75th Anniversary celebrations continue in September through to mid-November 2011 with Techron Club where the winning driver and seven of his team mates will drive away with a year’s worth of free fuel each.
