The New Year brings with it good news for those still waiting for COE prices to fall. The first round of January’s Certificate of entitlement (COE) bidding results has just been announced and prices continue to fall from the past couple of rounds.

The New Year brings with it good news for those still waiting for COE prices to fall. The first round of January’s Certificate of entitlement (COE) bidding results has just been announced and prices continue to fall from the past couple of rounds. Prices from all Categories, save Cat D, are down from previous rounds. For those looking at buying a new car in time for Chinese New Year just around the corner, the timing couldn’t be better.
Cat A prices are at its lowest in the past six months, down by $3,112 (6.64%) from to last round’s figures. Similarly Cat B is down by $4,202 (6.34%), Cat C by $890 (2.30%) and Cat E by $5,300 (8.07%).
Total quota for this round is 1,254 and this figure excludes goods vehicles (Cat C) and motorcycles (Cat D). Cat D is the only exception that went up by $201 (13.57%).
The final COE prices for Round 1 of January’s results are as follows:
Cat A: $46,889
Cat B: $65,801
Cat C: $38,699
Cat D: $1,682
Cat E: $65,700
