Mazda CX-3 Now With More Sensible 1.5 Litre - Qualifies For Category A COE
Mazda’s smallest SUV offering here is now powered by a more sensible 1.5 litre Skyactiv engine, meaning that it also qualifies for the more affordable Category A COE. The CX-3 now produces 113bhp, less when compared to the previous 2.0’s 162bhp, while torque has also been reduced by 64Nm, and is now 149Nm. With the smaller 1.5 litre, fuel efficiency is improved and now stands at a lab-tested 5.8L/100km in combined cycle.
The CX-3 features Mazda’s signature G-Vectoring control, which improves driving comfort for its occupants, by simple minor adjustments to the engine’s torque when braking, turning and even when under acceleration. Buyers can also expect the small SUV to be equipped with i-ACTIVSENSE, which adds a layer of active safety, that includes Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM) and Rear-Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA).
Occupants can expect generous amounts of soft-touch materials within the interior of the CX-3, and for the Elegance variant, both Android and Apple devices are also supported.
Mazda has also added Polymetal Grey Metallic to its list of colour options.
The updated Mazda CX-3 retails with prices starting from $94,888 for the Classic trim and $103,888 for the more premium Elegance variant.
