Mazda MX-5 crowned World Car of the Year and World Car Design of the Year 2016
The latest Mazda MX-5 has been named World Car of the Year for 2016 and also World Car Design of the Year too, the first time one model has taken both wins for Mazda.

Previously, the third generation MX-5 was one of three finalists for the same award in 2006, as was the Mazda3 in 2014.
This comes in the heels of the Mazda2 that marked the brand's first World Car of the Year back in 2008.
