At the start of the North American International Auto Show, it was announced that the Mazda CX-9 has won the coveted North American Truck of the Year.

This is the first time that Mazda wins the award. “This truly is an honor,” said Jim O’Sullivan, president and CEO of Mazda North American Operations. “Since we brought CX-9 to market, it’s been a hit with media, customers and dealers alike.”

A jury of 45 automotive journalists from the USA and Canada made their decision based on several factors; innovation, handling, performance, safety and driver satisfaction. The CX-9 beat 12 other cars to win the award.
