November's First Bidding Exercise And Across The Board, All COEs Have Gone Up Plenty!
This month saw 4,334 successful bids received during the month’s first bidding exercise for Certificates of Entitlement (COEs).

Quota of 1,683 @ $47,112, up from $41,617,
Category A (cars 1,600cc and below, and have a maximum power of 130bhp),
Quota of 1,376 @ $57,414, up from $49,996,
Category B (cars above 1,600cc, and have a more than 130bhp),
Quota of 242 @ $58,036, up from $51,890,
Commercial vehicle Category C,
Quota of 509 @ $5,502, down from $4,903,
Motorcycle Category D,
Quota of 524 @ $57,000, up from $52,000,
Open Category E (All but motorcycles),
Bids can be submitted through the Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) of DBS/POSB and the Internet Banking facilities of UOB or Maybank, do ensure that you have bank accounts with these participating banks.
The bid deposit for COEs in Categories A, B, C and E is $10,000 per bid while that for Category D is $200 per bid.

SINGAPORE WINNER TAKES HOME GRAND PRIZE AFTER 10 YEARS
November 2017, Singapore – 58-year-old Abdul Hamid Bin Jonid, one of the oldest winners of the Mediacorp Subaru Car Challenge, clocked an impressive 74 hours and 15 minutes to bring home the Grand Prize, after 10 years of entering the competition. First runner-up Luan Tu-Lang from Vietnam and second runner-up Filmark Bernante from the Philippines, dropped out at 74 hours and 14 minutes and 73 hours 48 minutes respectively.

Less Is More - The New Porsche 911 Carrera T
Singapore. With the 911 Carrera T, Porsche is reviving the puristic concept behind the 911 T of 1968: less weight, shorter transmission ratios from the manual gearbox and rear-wheel drive with mechanical rear differential lock for an enhanced performance and intense driving pleasure. The new model’s unique appearance is based on the 911 Carrera and its engine delivers 272 kW (370 hp). The 911 Carrera T – at Porsche, “T” stands for Touring – also boasts several other equipment features that are not available for the 911 Carrera, including the PASM sports chassis as standard, lowered by 20 mm, the weight-optimised Sport Chrono Package, a shortened shift lever with red shift pattern and Sport-Tex seat centres. The optional rear-axle steering, which was not available for the 911 Carrera, is still reserved for the 911 Carrera T.
