Older Porsches Just Got A Big Infotainment Upgrade
Got an older 911, Cayman or Boxster? Porsche’s latest PCCM Plus brings wireless CarPlay, Android Auto and more.

Porsche is giving owners of its older sports cars a way to bring their infotainment up to date, with the latest Porsche Classic Communication Management Plus (PCCM Plus) now available through Porsche Centres.

Designed for more than 300,000 “future classics”, the system fits selected 911, Cayman and Boxster models from 2009 to 2016. Two versions cover the 987.2, 997.2, 981 and 991.1 generations.

The system gets a seven-inch touchscreen, while cars with a multifunction steering wheel can also use it for control. Navigation instructions and music information can be displayed in the instrument cluster.
The big upgrade is connectivity. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto work via Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, alongside Bluetooth music streaming, DAB, HD, FM and AM radio, 4G connectivity and over-the-air map updates.
It also adds vehicle-specific functions, including oil temperature and pressure displays. Boxster and Cayman models gain visual parking-aid information, while navigation gets satellite imagery and Porsche’s Scenic Roads feature.
Porsche recommends installation at a Porsche Centre. In Singapore, owners can contact Porsche Service Centre Singapore for pricing, compatibility and availability.
