Using Porsche’s latest hybrid technology similar to the hybrid Cayenne - standard compustion engine in the front and electric motor in the rear - the Porsche is expected to have a fuel consumption of over 31 mpg.

This is exciting news as we know now that the Panamera definitely exists and it comes in hybrid flavour too!

Porsche has also confirmed that the Panamera will be a strict four-seater, with just two seats in the back (think Mercedes CLS). The Panamera is expected to be on sale in 2009, with the hybrid version following closely in 2010.
