SG: DTL2 worksite caught fire
A DTL worksite along Woodlands Road caught fire early yesterday morning at roughly 3:00am, sending huge clouds of grey smoke over the nearby estates. According to eye-witnesses, the fire appeared to have started underground, and is described as ‘haze-like’. The SCDF despatched 3 fire engines, a Red Rhino, an ambulance, along with five other support vehicles to the scene. The fire involved some wood, and was put out in just half an hour. Thankfully, no one was hurt in the blaze. Since it was confined to a localised area, it shouldn’t impact the construction of the entire line. The MOM has since issued a stop work order so they can investigate what triggered the fire.

SG: Slip Roads along KPE closed
To facilitate tunnel works at the KPE, the slip road to Airport Road via KPE(ECP) will be closed on the 12th of April from 12.00am to 10.00am. The recommended alternative route provided by the LTA is through the use of Paya Lebar Road to enter PIE (Tuas), before taking Exit 12 to KPE (ECP). KPE (TPE) [Exit 6] to Bartley Road East will be closed on the 13th of April, from 12.00 am to 10.00 am as well. SG: New road links to be opened
The LTA will be opening 2 new road links at Choa Chu Kang Ave 6, located between Brickland Road and Choa Chu Kang Ave 1 and, Keat Hong Close, located along Choa Chu Kang Ave 6, both on the 15th of April at 10:30am. They will also be commissioning three new signalised junctions at Brickland Road/Choa Chu Kang Ave 6, Choa Chu Kang Avenue 5/Choa Chu Kang Avenue 6/Keat Hong Close and Choa Chu Kang Avenue 1/Choa Chu Kang Avenue 6.
