SG: Fire breaks out at Borneo Motor's Bodycare Centre

A fire broke out at Borneo Motor’s Bodycare Centre at roughly 11 am today. The SCDF  received a call at 11.09 am and dispatched three red rhinos, two fire bikes, one fire engine and two support vehicles to the scene of the inferno. The flames were extinguished within 15 minutes through the use of two water jets and compressed air foam. According to the SCDF, the fire was triggered by a short circuit in a spray paint oven, where cars are "baked" after paint application. Before the police had arrived, staff and clients were already evacuated, although a few stayed behind and used fire extinguishers in an attempt to control the fire. A spokesperson from Borneo Motors said that this is the first time such an incident has occurred, and the damage was limited to the spray paint oven. There were no casualties from the fire.
