SG: Four killed in freak accident on CTE

Four passengers in the same vehicle were killed in an accident on the CTE on early Friday morning. The five people onboard the car, Singaporean Amron Ayoub, 23, his Korean girlfriend Jamie Song, her parents and brother were heading towards the airport when their Toyota Wish broke down. All of them got off the vehicle, with all but Song’s brother standing behind the strickened Wish. They were struck by a speeding car. The SCDF received a call for assistance at 3.56am, and reached the scene of the impact to find 2 women and 1 man lying motionless on the road. They were pronounced dead on the scene. Mr Amron survived the initial impact, but his injuries were too severe and he died in Khoo Teck Puat Hospital. Ms Song's brother was not injured as he stood beside the car rather than behind it. The 34 year old man who drove the other car complained of chest and head pains as a result of the impact. He was sent to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital for treatment.
