SG: Tan Chong Motor Sales Introduces The Teana 3.5L Variant

Tan Chong Motor Sales unveiled its top of the range Teana 3.5L variant at the customer launch event today. The Teana 3.5L aims to push the bar of affordable luxury even higher with an award-winning V6 engine and innovative technologies such as the Around View Monitor. The 3.5L features a VQ35DE V6 engine that generates a maximum power of 249PS/6, 400rpm and a maximum torque of 312Nm/4,400rpm. It its complimented with the Xtronic CVT which features 3 driving modes for a more customizes driving feel.

Drivers can pick Drive for everyday driving, Ds for a sportier “shift” feel, or go hands-on with the paddle shifters. The paddle shifters, mounted right on the steering column, puts precise shifting control at your fingertips. Just pull a paddle and the “gear” changes on command, no clutch needed - giving the driver a driving experience that’s best of both worlds.

The Around View Monitor is ideal for use during parking. The system utilizes simulated steering direction indicators and reverse positioning displayed on the monitor (Parking Guide System). The front/rear wide view monitor gives priority to safety with a 360° perspective view when negotiating visibly difficult intersections and reversing from parking lots.

The Teana 3.5L also comes with additional safety features on top of the 6 air-bags, Traction Control System, Vehicle Dynamic Control, Anti-lock Braking System, Brake Assist, Electronic Brake-force Distribution, reverse camera and front and rear sensors, that is standard across the line up.

In addition to features unique to the Teana 3.5L, it is also equipped with innovative technology that can be found on the Teana 2.0L and 2.5L, such as:
