Clearly demonstrating the company’s automotive advancements of our time, the new BMW M550i xDrive features an intelligent all-wheel-drive system with rear-wheel bias. With abundant torque reserves and high-revving characteristics, the new BMW M550i xDrive’s V8 power unit offers an unmatched blend of supreme performance, precise driving dynamics and uncompromised day-to-day usability, cementing the new BMW M550i xDrive as the leader in every aspect of the driving experience. With a customised M Performance chassis set-up and the prowess to dial 100 kilometres per hour on the speedometer in 4.0 seconds, the new BMW M550i xDrive is both a four-door sports car and an executive sedan. The aggressive design of the new BMW M550i xDrive retains the familiarity of how BMW automobiles look like. The body-styling and the contours of the new BMW M550i xDrive speak volumes on the sedan’s performance and capabilities. Delicate attention is given at every bend, illuminating the new BMW M550i xDrive’s dynamic lines. Fitted with an M rear spoiler with Gurney flap on the boot lid and sporting an exclusive Cerium Grey metallic finish, the sedan is all premium and nothing else. Within the cabin, the M sports seats upholstered in Black Dakota leather with blue contrast stitching, the latest version of the M sports steering wheel, M design floor mats and special interior trim strips and pedals made from aluminum all combine to convey the aura of the BMW M550i xDrive as a high-performance car. Configured with the Steptronic eight-speed transmission gearbox, the new BMW M550i xDrive’s all-wheel-drive system is equipped with the intelligence to split drive power between all four wheels according to the situation, thereby delivering superlative driving performance and extremely precise handling under all kinds of road and weather conditions. Reinforced with 20-inch light-alloy wheels, traction is consistently maintained. As with all other models in the latest-generation BMW 5 Series line-up, the new BMW M550i xDrive comes with an improved driver-assisted system. This include an evasion aid, crossing traffic warning system and a Lane Change Warning system. The optionally available Active Cruise Control (ACC) and Lane Keeping Assistant now boast extended functionality. The Intelligent Speed Limit Assist, which allows speed limits to be automatically imported into the cruise control system, delivers another form of automated driving for the new BMW M550i xDrive.
