Tight security expected for New Year countdown

If you are planning to head to Marina Bay to join in the New Year countdown, do take care of your own safety. And yes, there will be road closures.

To ensure the safety of people attending the new year countdown, the police and organisers will deploy up to 750 personel to strengthen security.

To ensure public safety, the footpath lining the Benjamin Sheares Bridge will be closed to the public from 6pm on December 31st till 1am on January 1st.

Raffles Avenue, Esplanade Drive and Temasek Avenue will be closed to traffic on different times during New Year's Eve.
