Toyota to unveil new minicar at Frankfurt Auto Show
Set to be shown this September at the Frankfurt International Auto Show, Toyota’s new concept microcar is targeted at the European markets, where their Yaris and Aygo models have been very well received. Designed in Toyota’s European studios and similarly sized as the Smart Fortwo, the new minicar, called the Endo, is expected to be a super-low cost vehicle.

According to Automotive News Europe, reliable sources have revealed that the first cars would be in the showrooms by mid 2008. Its pricing will also be competing against other small cars such as India’s car maker, Tata, and also Volkswagen. With plans for Tata’s new car to sell for around €2,000, potential Endo customers can expect pricing to be competitive with theirs.
The car is 3,000 mm long, and will seat 3 adults plus a small child behind the driver. The Endo Concept, first shown in 2005, was one of many Toyota concept cars aimed at users in congested urban areas, while being capable of high levels of efficiency.
