Wearnes Automotive is proud to confirm its sponsorship of the upcoming 1st Asian Youth Games (AYG) Singapore 2009.

Jointly sharing the title of "Official Car for the Asian Youth Games 2009", the entourage of Volvo and Jaguar cars will play key roles at the event.

Leading distinguishably for the City Relay of the AYG Torch Relay Routes on Sunday 28th June, for which the Business Community is involved, the Volvo C70 convertible will be the chariot for Frasia, the AYG mascot, as he escorts the torchbearer throughout the entire relay.

Throughout the Games, Olympic Council of Asia delegates will be chauffeured in style from one event venue to another in the sophisticated Volvo S80, the elegant Jaguar XJ6 Long Wheelbase or the ultra-sleek Jaguar XF 4.2 SV8.

To generate awareness of the Event and our Sponsorship, Wearnes Automotive has been featuring the AYG logo prominently in its above-the-line advertisements for the respective car models.

"Using sports to bring together the future generation from all over the region, AYG 2009 is an ideal platform to cultivate the Olympic values of excellence, friendship and respect in the young athletes as they gear towards the first ever Youth Olympic Games in 2010. Wearnes Automotive is delighted and certainly privileged to support the inaugural AYG."

"With our automotive models reflecting common athletic traits of strength, performance, excellence and power, their presence at the event help to echo the dynamism, energy and exciting spirit of AYG," shares Andre Roy, Group Managing Director (Automotive), WBL Corporation Limited.
