OneShift Car of the Year 2022 Winner

BYD Atto 3
Overall Winner
Overall
BYD Atto 3
The Atto 3 offers a very credible option in the entry-level BEV segment. Some car brands believe in gradual evolution. Well, BYD clearly progresses in leaps and bounds whenever it can. Since driving the rudimentary BYD M3e, then the new generation e6 and now the Atto 3, it’s breathtaking how much the brand has developed.

Audi RS 3 Sedan 2.5 TFSI quattro S tronic
The RS 3 comes with a new trick up its sleeve - the RS Torque Splitter. Read on to find out if it really transforms the car or not. It's been a while since we got excited about a new RS 3.

Porsche 911 GT3
OneShift is one of the first in Asia-Pacific to drive the 992 GT3s, and we hopped over to Austria to tell you if they're worth waiting for. One of my earliest sports car experiences ever was in a GT3. It was the 997.1 GT3, and it really started my appreciation for Porsche GT cars in general.

BMW M240i Coupe xDrive 3.0

Bronze
BMW M240i Coupe xDrive 3.0
The M240i Coupe grows up, and is now based on the 4 Series chassis. Does it make it any less appealing? When the 1 Series-based E82 Coupe was unveiled, it harked back to a back-to-basics purity that really appealed to enthusiasts, while the 3 Series Coupe kept growing bigger beyond its original brief.

BMW i4 eDrive40

BMW i4 eDrive40
Behind the wheel, the i4 is ironically more classically BMW because of its pure rear-wheel drive setup. We find out if it is any good. When we drove the BMW M440i Gran Coupé, we thought we couldn't find a sweeter car in the range.

Audi e-tron GT
Bronze Winner
Bronze
Audi e-tron GT
The e-tron GT is the starting point for Audi's gran truismo line of BEVs - we find out how it differs from its RS-versioned big brother which the team tested earlier on. No, we won’t blame you if you aren’t able to tell the difference between this e-tron GT and its RS-versioned big brother at first glance. Getting the elephant in the room out of the way, less for a couple of badges, concave-style rims and the outstandingly bright orange brake calipers hugging those Audi Carbid discs, it would be quite difficult to tell the two apart in the flesh. This is quite different from what one would typically expect in making a comparison between RS and non-RS versions of the same Audi, and that’s definitely not a bad thing!

Best Hybrid Car

Kia Niro Hybrid
Gold Winner

Kia Niro Hybrid
Kia returns with a second iteration of its Niro Hybrid - we find out if it is able to repeat the successes of its predecessor as a practical, economical and well-built family runabout. The Koreans have come an extremely long way in the field of car manufacturing. From once being the afterthought as a purchase choice to becoming class leaders in electric-hybrids and innovative and bold designs is no mean feat.

Toyota RAV4 Hybrid 2.5
Bronze Winner

Toyota RAV4 Hybrid 2.5
The RAV4 is the Toyota SUV that's comfortably bigger than the Yaris Cross, while being humbler and more accessible than the Harrier that's nipping on the toes of Lexus. Its predecessor was a wildly popular car in the early 2000s, and was also sold as a Daihatsu Terios. In fact, it's the best-selling SUV in the world, with over 10 million cars finding homes.
