Our Favourite Car Picks - 1st & 2nd Quarter 2010
We name our favourite cars of the first half of 2010 according to individual classes.

If there was a Ferrari you can use everyday for most purposes effortlessly then it'll be the California. Despite its user friendliness, the California sounds, drives and performs like a thoroughbred sportscar from Maranello. Moreover, you can enjoy it either as a coupe or convertible depending on your mood thanks to the folding metal hardtop. Top down, onlookers can admire the superb and exquisite cabin that not only looks good but feels like a million bucks as well. It'd not the most beautiful of Ferraris on the outside but the Cali's looks do grow on you. If only I had the 800 grand to have one on my own...

Its cynics might say that the 700 grand or so Turbo looks too similar to a much more affordable Carrera but drive one and you'll understand why it's here. The Audi R8 V10 might look more dramatic and the Nissan GTR can go almost as fast at a fraction of the Turbo's price but neither are as accomplished and as effortless as the Porsche. This is one 500bhp supercar that your grandma could drive to the shops everyday. And on those days when you decide to be a hooligan on the race track, go faster bits like the PDK gearbox and Porsche Torque Vectoring (PTV) among others makes the driving experience even more unforgettable.

The second half of 2010 will see even more new car launches in Singapore. By the year's end, we seriously think that there'll be some big changes to the list here thanks to several important new models like the Audi A8, RS 5, Ferrari 458 Italia, Porsche Cayenne, Volvo S60 and so on.
