BYD's Latest Electric Truck Is Built For Singapore's Urban Roads

Singapore has become the first market in Southeast Asia to launch the BYD T35 electric light truck, with Inchcape Plus introducing the new model as it expands its commercial EV line-up. Sitting below the heavier-duty T9R, the T35 is aimed squarely at SMEs, logistics operators and urban delivery fleets.

The headline figures are impressive. The T35 uses BYD's 62.36 kWh Blade Battery, producing 150 kW and 340 Nm while delivering up to 367 km of range on a full charge. DC charging at up to 71 kW takes the battery from 20 to 80 per cent in just 36 minutes, while AC charging takes up to 6.6 hours.

Measuring 5,000 mm long with a 1,900 kg payload and 3,700 kg gross vehicle weight, the T35 is compact enough for city work. It weighs less than 1,760 kg unladen, stands under 1.98 metres tall for access to HDB multi-storey car parks, and has a turning radius of 4.8 metres. And for the all-important bit: it can be driven with a standard Class 3 licence!

Safety and driver comfort haven't been overlooked either. Standard equipment includes BYD's Blade Battery, certified to UL1642 and UN ECE R100.03 standards, plus EBS, ESC and a European R29-compliant high-strength cab. Inside are air-suspension seats, a floating cab, LCD display and keyless start, while regenerative braking and battery thermal management help improve efficiency and extend battery life.

The T35 rounds out Inchcape Plus' growing commercial EV portfolio, giving Singapore businesses an electric option that's purpose-built for urban deliveries without sacrificing payload or practicality.
