Singapore’s EV charging network is getting a shake-up, with more than 1,000 ChargEco public charging points gradually moving to SP Mobility’s network.

The transition started on 5 October, with all locations expected to be integrated by the end of December 2026. Drivers can continue using the ChargEco app at chargers that have not yet switched. Once a charger carries SP Mobility branding, the SP app becomes mandatory for charging and payment.

Eligible first-time users of EV charging on the SP app can also earn 500 ChargeUP points, equivalent to S$5, after a qualifying session of at least 10kWh by 31 December.

There are a few important dates for existing ChargEco customers. Use any remaining wallet credit by 31 October, as wallet top-ups and usage will stop after that date. Refund requests should be submitted by 30 November, with processing fees waived.

The ChargEco app is due to shut down on 31 January 2027. Accounts and charging records will not transfer automatically, so drivers should set up their SP accounts and save any receipts or charging history they need before the transition is complete.
