Denso is a member of the Toyota Group of Companies. While it primarily supplies parts to Toyota, its customers also include other automakers.

Denso will seriously consider Ford's request, as they would like to increase their business with Mazda. There is no word yet on how many shares will be offered to Denso. At present, Ford has a US $ 1.36 billion stake in Mazda.

It is said that Ford has already approached close to 30 companies and offered them small stakes in Mazda.
