INFINITI set new records in 2016
INFINITI, the luxury vehicle division of Japanese auto-maker Nissan, has scored a record high in sales for last year in every region - Americas, Europe, Asia and Oceania and China - it has driven on. In the Americas, over 153,500 units were sold, representing an increase of over 4%. In the United States alone, INFINITI retailed a record 138,300 vehicles, registering an upward trend of 4%. Sales in Canada were commendable too, with 12,000 vehicles sold. The strong results were attributed by the huge demand for its SUVs and the all-new Q60 Coupe. In Western Europe, sales increased by over 140%, when compared on a year-on-year basis, with more than 16,000 units sold. The all-new Q30 and QX30 are the more popular models in this instance. In populous China, INFINITI smashed its own record with 41,590 units being sold. Representing an increase of more than 3% over the previous year, INFINITI's QX30 compact crossover, a model which was debuted at the Guangzhou Motor Show last November, was a great boost to the sales figure. Back on local shores, INFINITI did fairly well too, with an increase in sales of close to 50%. In many ways, INFINITI remains as the fastest-growing premium automobile brand in Singapore in 2016. The strong sales would not be possible if not for the Q50 and the all-new Q30.
