Lamborghini Murcielago LP650-4 Roadster by Office-K

To celebrate its 50th Anniversary, Lamborghini will be at the 2013 Cholmondeley Pageant of Power which is set to happen next month (14-16 June).  This will give visitors the opportunity to experience the heart and soul of Lamborghini.  There will be a display of classic vehicles showing the evolution of the Italian brand.  A 1.2 mile race circuit will be there for both classic and modern Lamborghinis. Lamborghini will showcase its newest models like the new Aventador LP 700-4 Roadster.  With a 6.5 liter V12 engine that runs from 0 to 62mph in 3 seconds and packing 700hp.  The Gallardo LP 570-4 Superleggera Edizione Tecnica is set to reclaim the lap record on the Pageant's circuit.  This is because until 2012, a previous version of the Gallardo Superleggera held the lap record around Cholmondeley, with a course time of 62.68 seconds.

  Italian supercar Lamborghini is celebrating its 50th anniversary at next month's Silverstone Classic (26-28 July) with what is believed to be one of the biggest ever gathering anywhere in the world. To mark the golden anniversary, a special parade on the Silverstone Grand Prix circuit is being organized by the Lamborghini Club UK.  The 100-car parade is being supported by Automobili Lamborghini S.P.A and will be led by the company's latest creation, the Aventador LP700-4 with the new Roadster version on display at the Club's showcase.  It will also feature every model produced by Lamborghini since originally founded by Ferruccio Lamborghini in 1963.

Going the way of the Porsche 911 GT3, Lamborghini will be retiring its manual gearboxes with them making one last appearance in a limited-run, rear-drive-only Gallardo. After this, expect the next generation of cars from the Sant’Agata Bolognese bullpen to be available only with automatics. As it is, there is already a waning market for stick shifters, with buyers preferring the paddle-shifters over the manuals by a ratio of 9:1. The present era where customers demand technology and products that adapt to them, and not the other way around (as required by Lamborghini’s challenging gated H-pattern shifter) explains the company’s decision.
