Confirmed by Lexus' European market managing director Tadashi Arashima, the new car will be smaller than the IS and will be aimed at the European market. At the moment, there are still no details with regards to the car's design.

Lexus' target will be to build a car that rivals the Audi A1 and BMW 1-series. Designed to comply with Europe's strict emission regulations and pedestrian safety standards, Lexus hopes that this new car can boost Lexus sales in Europe to over 150,000 vehicles annually.
