Local News: Volvo launches the stylish V60 with 1.6-litre T4 motor
Wearnes Automotive, the sole distributor for Volvo cars in Singapore this week launched the V60 lifestyle estate model.

Basically an estate version of the S60 saloon, the V60's stylish lines and profile will appeal to both fashionistas and lifestyle types. The new model is not just all about looks though as it offers all the virtues of the S60 with the practicality of an estate thrown in.
The V60 is the first of several Volvo models to be introduced with a further downsized 1.6-litre turbo engine dubbed the T4. The T4, a four-cylinder unit featuring the very latest direct injection technology. The GTDi (Gasoline Turbocharged Direct Injection) concept was developed to offer really low fuel consumption without compromising on performance or driving pleasure.
With the aid of a turbocharger, the 180bhp engine delivers maximum torque of 240Nm from just 1600rpm and all the way up to 5000rpm. An on-demand overboost function provides a massive 270Nm of torque.Transmission is via the increasingly familiar Powershift six-speed dual clutch box. The V60 T4 is god enough for a 0-100km/h time of 9.2 seconds.
The V60's T4 motor is also set to appear in the S60 in the coming months as Volvo downsizes its engine range for better efficiency as well as to start offering move price competitive Cat A COE models for buyers.
