Luxury Lincoln concept uses 1.6 litre engine
An American luxury car with a four cylinder 1.6 litre engine? If you had said even a year ago that would happen, you would probably have been pointed in the direction of the nearest exit.

But that's just what the Lincoln Concept C is offering. The Ford luxury brand's unveiling was one of the surprises of the show and was described by the company as "a big idea in small cars."
The Concept C uses a Ford Ecoboost 1.6-litre, 4-cylinder turbocharged engine with direct fuel injection that provides 5.5 liters/100 km.
Will it go into production? Ford says it will review feedback before making a decision. Design director Peter Horbury said that the Concept C was one of a number of vehicles resulting from a total brand review conducted by Lincoln about three years ago.
Mr Horbury said that if built, the Concept C would be the smallest vehicle in Lincoln's lineup and would be aimed at a younger audience than traditional Lincoln buyers.
