SG: Singapore Airlines to sponsor Singapore Grand Prix

Singtel has been the title sponsor of the Singapore Grand Prix since the inaugural race in 2008. Now though, there is a new sponsor- Singapore Airlines. The announcement was made earlier today, and the deal is set for two years, with an option to renew after. The cost of the sponsorship has not been revealed.   Singapore has been crowned as the Monaco of the east, with both the racing and the atmosphere to match the little French island. Previously, it was known as the Formula One SingTel Singapore Grand Prix. With the new sponsorship however, it is now the Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix, which is quite a mouthful.Pictures used for illustration purposes only.
