Mercedes-Benz C 200 CGI BlueEFFICIENCY Review: Boost Pressure
With major competition from the likes of Audi, BMW, Lexus and even Volvo, Mercedes-Benz puts the pressure on the C-Class to deliver.
What we like:
Mid-range torque- solid image
- not much more expensive than the base C180 but much better equipped
What we dislike:
Slow witted gearbox- uninspiring engine note
- looks like the cheaper C180 on the outside
Despite looking rather similar to the base C180 CGI, the C200 CGI offers more standard equipment than the entry-level car. The C200 CGI offers full electrically adjustable front seats and PARKTRONIC parking assistance over its lesser brethren.
The new C200 CGI once again proves that Mercedes' junior executive offers what is probably the most all-rounded package among its competitors - a bit like a jack of all trades. At roughly $15k more than the C180 CGI, the C200 CGI offers more performance and extra kit to make one's money worth.
