The Gran Turismo(GT) will be positioned above the 7-series and will be the longest and widest car in the lineup. The GT is expected to be powered by a V8 or V12 powerplant. Production of the GT is expected to be around 15,000 units annually with a cost of around USD$150,000.

This places the GT in the same realm as Porsche's soon-to-be-released Panamera and the Aston Martin Rapide, all of which belongs to a class of highly-priced and highly-powered sedans.
