F1: Teams to unveil cars at Jerez

In about 24 hours time, we will get to see the majority of the new era F1 cars. We have already seen Mclaren’s, Sauber’s, Ferrari’s and Lotus’ efforts online, but for the bulk of the grid, their cars will be officially revealed at Jerez on the 28th of January. So far, various teams have gone for various different nose cone designs, but no one knows for sure which one is the best. All we wait for now, is to see what Adrian Newey makes of the regulations, and how he sculpts radical bodywork to meet the regulations while gaining a slight edge over his competitors. The 2014 cars will see sunlight for the first time at Jerez, with exception to Mercedes and Lotus, the former having run at Silverstone for a mini-shakedown, and the latter, revealing that they will skip the Jerez test. We are excited to see what the designers have done to the cars in 2014. Sure, regulations may have changed, but surely designers will be able to find an aesthetically pleasing design that still yields good aero right?Pictures used for illustration purposes only.
