Lamborghini Has Built An Even Angrier Urus

Lamborghini has taken its plug-in hybrid Super SUV and dialled everything up. Meet the Urus SE Performante - the most powerful, fastest and most focused Urus yet.

Power comes from a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 paired with an electric motor, producing a combined 812 hp (596 kW) and 1,000 Nm. That's 146 hp and 150 Nm more than the previous Urus Performante, helping it hit 100 km/h in 3.3 seconds, 200 km/h in 10.8 seconds and a top speed of 312 km/h.

It's lighter too. Lamborghini has shaved 32 kg through wider use of carbonfibre, while a standard titanium Akrapovič exhaust trims another 10 kg and adds a sharper soundtrack.

The biggest changes are underneath. A new AURA dual-chamber air suspension cuts body roll by 55% in spirited driving while improving ride comfort over rough roads. A new 6D sensor works with Lamborghini's Integrated Power Brake system to boost braking, traction and stability, with stopping distance from 200 km/h now under 130 metres.

Aerodynamics have also been reworked with a new carbon-fibre bonnet, larger cooling ducts, twin rear spoilers and the biggest rear diffuser ever fitted to a Urus. The result is more downforce, better cooling and improved high-speed stability.

Drivers can choose between Strada, Sport, Corsa and EV modes, while a new Rally mode brings extra fun on gravel and loose surfaces. EV mode also allows more than 60 km of electric-only driving.

Inside, the cabin gets more exposed carbon fibre, fresh performance-inspired trim, twin 12.3-inch displays and an updated infotainment system.

The Urus SE Performante isn't just about bigger numbers. It's Lamborghini's latest attempt at building a Super SUV that's just as happy carving corners and tackling a track as it is handling the daily commute.
